FRETBUZZ SERVICE & SETUP
My most popular service! The Fretbuzz Service + Setup!
Full deep clean of all hardware, fretboard clean and conditioning, fret polish with electrics checks plus pots and switches cleaned and serviced. Nut height cut to correct height for the string gauge. neck relief adjusted. I typically go for 0.010" at the 7th fret, but you can also request your own personal preference. Bridge radius adjustments and action/string compensation.
Includes Rotosound strings. (Other brands provided at extra cost)
ACOUSTIC GUITAR SETUP
Nut height, bridge saddle radius, neck relief, the correct string action and intonation are vital. Let's get your Acoustic guitar set up perfectly to your playing style. Includes free Rotosound strings. (Other brands provided at extra cost)
FLOATING TREMELO/FLOYD ROSE GUITAR SETUP
I can perfectly balance any tremelo to your specifications or my own. whether you're Hank Marvin or Dimebag Darrell.
I can also 'block' off trems and install Tremsetters. If you are looking for advice on the best setup for your Tremelo, dont hesitate to contact me.
FRET LEVEL, CROWN & DRESS
the second most popular service at the Fretbuzz Workshed. I do hundreds of Fret levels per year! High or low frets can bring very unwelcome buzzing or even completely dead notes. A fret level is a thing of beauty and can completely transform the playability and feel of your guitar.
REFRETS
If your frets are pitted, or extremely low and beyond a fret level, crown and dress, it may be time for a Refret. I specialise in Stainless Steel Fretwork and have been perfecting this method for 10 years. Stainless Steel is extremely hard wearing and can also improve the 'ring' of your guitar.
HEADSTOCK/NECK REPAIR/BODY REPAIR
Myself and Mrs Fretbuzz specialize in Neck and Headstock Repair services, besides all other aspects of woodwork and repairs, offering only top quality and efficient results.
CUSTOM REFINISHING
From headstock decals to full refinishes and more. I currently only offer this service from Spring to Autumn.
CUSTOM WIRING MODIFICATIONS
Fully custom wiring modifications to any spec available. I'm also the Custom Shop Engineer for Hiwatt Electronics and use my military spec wiring skills on Guitars too!!
