If you've not played SS Frets, I highly recommend trying them out, especially if you're a heavy player. These things are far superior to Nickel and can last a lifetime! No more pits, rough ends or tarnishing, extremely smooth playing and tough wearing. I've been perfecting my method with Steel fretwork for some time.
