Every so often I get brought a bunch of pedals from customers, most recently there was a Russian Sovtek Big Muff in for a few repairs. It's rare that I get asked to do mods so when this came over I was really excited to get to work.
I've always loved the classic sound of the DS-1 its been my go-to pedal since I first started playing in bands. To be honest for me it's always felt as though it needed more bite, something to Fuzz and surge it up for some really far out Grunge vibes.
I've known about the Keeley Seeing Eye Mod for a few years, but it's the first time I've been asked to wire the modification in for anyone, really fun mod to do and has opened up a huge world of tone. I'll definitely be doing my own DS-1 at some point.
