I've had a few Partscasters in lately and you never know what to expect as not every neck and body are interchangeable. Luckily this is a really good example that only suffered from a few issues, one of which was the extremely thick poly lacquer on the neck which I have sanded back to bare wood and then gone through different grades to get a nice satin feel, finished with oils.
This has also been given the full Fretbuzz Service treatment and I'm really happy with how the frets have cleaned up.
The main problem with this Strat was a very badly fitted nut, which I have replaced with my own hand cut bone nut to the correct 9.5" radius, matched to the fretboard (see below)
