What an amazing few days at NAMM in Anaheim, California with Hiwatt!
Before we hit up 4 days at the world's largest music convention, it was an immense pleasure to visit some of the backline companies in LA that we work with. Lon Cohen, and Centre Staging have a real passion for Hiwatt amps and are placing them with some amazing artists for Tours and TV. We also dropped into the famous 'Viper Rooms' on Sunset Blvd to hook up our friend Tommy with a full backline rig, Hung out at the Rainbow Bar & Grill before heading off to spend a couple of days in the desert at Rancho De La Luna in Joshua Tree with one of my favourite producers of all time, Dave Catching, his partner in crime, Bingo and the best dog in the world, Chunk!
Next up was the NAMM show! At the Hiwatt Booth we had lots of exciting new products to show, including the new solid state 'Leeds' range, the improved 'T-Series' and our new custom shop amps, the 20/40, DR88, DR20/0.5 and Pedalsmith, plus our legendary DR series range, which were greatly received. Hiwatt artists, Jesse Hughes from Eagles Of Death Metal and Mike Sullivan from Russian Circles all came to hang out at our booth. We had a fantastic live performance from Lauren Andino (Tremors/LA Witch) plus Mike from Seeker FX, showcasing his fantastic range of fuzz pedals. We had the pleasure of having Dunable, Pure Salem and Balaguer guitars on our stand which were an awesome pairing for trying out of range. Captain, Danish Pete and the whole Andertons crew came over to see what was new. Most importantly we got to meet some fantastic musicians from all over the world along with some great business opportunities moving forward. All in all a fantastic few days of music and an amazing experience!
