Well, where to begin with this heavily toured LTD!?Originally came in due to output issues, but that was just scratching the surface. The whole wiring loom was a complete mess with cigarette filters used as dowels from previously removed DPDT switches. The whole thing needed gutting. I've done a full pro rewire with new pots, toggle switch and jack and a vintage cap for mojo.
During the service and setup and after fully conditioned the board with a fret polish for super smooth playability, then stringing up to begin setting my parameters for the action and neck relief - I noticed something iffy about the bridge posts, one was pulling up under tension and under further inspection, I noticed they were super glued in, with no ferrules! Absolute carnage. After I lost my shit, I notified my customer and went ahead with a full glue removal, by heating up the old posts. Drilled out to accomodate the new ferrules and posts, sorted! Now it was easier to hit my targets for the Setup. I followed the wraparound bridge action that my Customer uses, although now the bridge is fixed, there's no need to use this method for future restringing.
This guitar is now tons of fun and ready to doom around Europe with the lads in Iron Void 🤘🏻
