Some work on this Eric Clapton style Telecaster with a Strat neck! The neck on this is absolutely JUICY. One hell of a slab of Maple!
I didn't do the neck fitting work on this, which I'm glad about 😂 guitar parts are not all interchangeable as I've spoke about before, but when mixing a Tele and Strat it can be even harder work...Strat heels are rounded and Tele pockets, flat. either the neck heel has to be adjusted or obviously the pocket. The Tech that fitted these did a decent job.
So, this neck has jumbo frets that needed a fret dress to help get a lower action, I've also cut the nut to accommodate for the lower frets plus smoothed over any sharp fret ends.
The final polish has brought an amazing smooth playability. I have also made a few wiring adjustments so the 4-way switch runs as 'Bridge - Bridge neck parallel - neck - Bridge and neck series
Simple Refinished Headstock in tribute to the man himself, Leo!
