Cool guitar that needed a good push in the right direction to be able to withstand extra heavy 12 gauge strings and a crazy tuning of BF#BEF#B ⚡
The owner brought this in due to a completely dead first fret that even with the maximum amount of relief would never have eased off. The brass nut was cut quite badly (has anyone EVER had a decent one?) They were actually two low frets as well as a couple of high points around the 1st to 3rd fret, so I've gone for a fret dress to get these to the correct height.
Check out the time lapse fret dress video below featuring one my solo songs www.mucker.bandcamp.com
I've replaced the brass nut and cut a new one Gibson style, also routed out for a snug fit.
Installed a new jack and then set the guitar up in a variant of Drop B with 'Not Even Slinky' 12s for maximum metal vibes 🤘
