Hosco Stainless Steel fretwork on this old Hummingbird copy! Stock frets were very flat with lots of wear on the Rosewood fingerboard. I've put a 10" radius back in before fretting, bevelling the edges and dressing the frets.
Handcrafted bone nut and saddle made here at the Fretbuzz Workshed. Tuner bushing, pinion gear repair. Added a new strap button.
During the final setup, it was apparent that there is very slight 'bellying' of the guitar top and this has raised the full bridge a little, thus creating a slightly higher action than I would usually work towards, luckily I have just enough break angle before the bridge to get a full tone and ring from the Jumbo King 12-54" strings. Considering this guitar was almost ready for the scrap heap before it's Workshed visit, I'm very happy where everything is at! Ready for another 40+ years of playing!
